My Village dry squid fishes are 100% natural and organic. We Dried freshly caught fishes direct from small sea boats in Kerala. For our export purpose, we cleaned fishes carefully in a very hygienic environment. We dry fishes using solar inhouse dryers. Free from preservatives and additives. We add a very little salt in order to maintain the shelf life of the dry fishes. Rich in Omega-3 fatty acids.
- Squid/kanava/koonthal/bondaas are directly sourced from fishermen in kerala. Squids are cleaned and dried under very hygienic environment. All are naturally dried and 100% dryness with natural flavour.
- Dried squid is one of the popular dehydrated seafood in Asian cuisine. Dried squid is sweet, pliable, medium and chewy.

- The nutritional value of squid compares favorably with other fishes, having high content of protein and phosphorus with traces of calcium, thiamine and, riboflavin. It is also a good source of zinc, manganese, copper, selenium and vitamin B12.
- Instructions: Best before 6 months from the date of packing. Store in Dry hygienic place. Should be in air tight container.
- Method of preparation:
- Soak dried squid in water for 30 minutes to soften before frying or Add baking soda to the soaking water.(one teaspoon per liter of water)
- Dry thoroughly with paper towel before cooking.
- Heat oil over medium-low heat.
- Place dried squid and lower heat to low.
- Slow cook each side for 3 minutes. Use the kitchen utensil to flatten the squid. (If you don’t do this it will curl and will not cook evenly.)
